Best vintage leeds

I love love love some of richards work, mainly when he focuses on capturing colour whilst moving and mixing. 

Here is some of my favourite pieces of work that he has produced using this process. 

We are thinking of using similar processes to produce our textiles.

I am considering taking a type as image route for my glastonbury t-shirt designs.
I need to start researching into concepts for a festival inspired theme so i can start to play with some 3D visuals.

Getting some inspiration from buildings around leeds, thinking of creating some collage designs from our ink experiments like the example by Lydia Shirreff bottom left...

As we are designing a textiles range for 'best vintage' i though it might be interesting to look at the 'best building' in leeds and use is as one option for a base in our textile designs so far as it has interesting shapes, shades and detail.

I love Lydias work, i like the way she combines 24 and 3d to create really nice compositions.

I want to focus my design practice on this style and process for the branding and identity of Harper & the owl as i feel i could create some great bases for the logo designs and promotional material etc.   

Best Vintage Research

This is the vintage store in the centre of leeds. Their current branding is pretty plain.
Considering the store is quirky and on trend, the logo is not, so we thought we would push our brief further and propose to re-brand the stores identity and promotional material as well as creating a new clothing range, we will try to combine the two in terms of visuals.

We are going to have a chat with the staff and see what kind of new range they want so we can narrow down our themes and concepts. But at the moment we are researching into what kind of patterns are on trend at the moment and messing around with colour.
