Promotion
Although i am trying to portray Kellys style of work through her branding and identity i feel we have to get her noticed as a fashion designer first so that her audience knows what kind of garments will be sold and her fashion style so that the website can be successfully promoted.
And i am going to do this through having her sell her work at fashion fares and events and also to maybe propose for her to set up a pop up shop in different universities near where she lives.

Existing online stores
Kelly told me about an existing online store called Nasty Gal.
When proposing to create her website, there are some elements to the website which kelly likes such as pop up competitions and exclusive offers as advertisements...
Kelly also mentioned how she likes the layout and set up of the process when ordering and selecting garments online.
I have been having a look at the website and making notes so i can refer back to them when designing for web.
I have found a great way to keep getting a feel for Kellys inspirations and interests and her style of work is to keep referring back to her pinterest page where she posts images regularly.
Researching an audience
Looking at magazines which kelly reads and gets inspiration from.
Wonderland readers would be the type of audience kelly wants to communicate to.
This magazine could be a good proposal for a magazine add to promote kellys online boutique in.
Researching Audience
I do think this way of communicating is very effective as ZARA as a logo is very recognisable without really reading it, even though it is a word.
As kelly mentioned that she liked the serif font, using her name KOULEUR, focusing on the type and using a piece of promotional material that would be image based could be quite effective, as oppose to creating a statement to partner her name.
Audience
Zara - A brand which Kellys is influenced by, the sophistication of the women and the quality of the garments is important in her practise.
Considering zaras audience also, i will be looking into promotional material for zara which will help me create an appropriate statement.
Kelly also mentioned something which will help when designing her logo and type selection for her branding, she prefers the serif font to sans serif.

Web Design :: Nasty Gal :: Dreamweaver
Nasty Gal is an online fashion store aimed at young quirky females.
I often purchase items from this site and find it a pleasure to use!
Very easy and clear , direct and organised links make it easy to fully brows what they are offering.
The theme of the website is very minimalistic in terms of colour and layout , but this works as the center section of the site is always changing to suit the theme of the season or clothing range.
I love how it is so clean and white with clear black caps text and a big bold black logo , it makes the site sophisticated yet appropriate for a young audience at the same time.
